I was so excited about the publication of this book, since I'm a huge U2 fan and I idolize Bono.
Imagine my surprise (and disappointment) to discover that I knew far more about the man than written in the book. Coupled with the fact that some information is slightly inaccurate, this book is not worth the small amount of time it takes to get through it. There are few interesting anecdotes about Bono, and everything discussed is boringly factual. I don't want a sleazy "tell-all" book about the band, but a bit of insight about the frontman would have been nice.
Having said that, I know that there are a ton of fans out there who will buy it just because it's about Bono - just like me. But for anyone with only a passing interest in Bono, U2 or rock - stay away. And if you're a big fan, prepare to be disappointed. A far superior (and in-depth) read is "U2 At The End of the World" by Bill Flanagan.
