I was searching for a book with a good collection of movie posters and this was a VERY lucky find. Like many film fans I had been a fan of Drew Struzan's posters without ever knowing his name. He painted loads of instantly recognisable posters (particularly from the 80's). Star Wars posters, Indiana Jones posters , Back to the Future posters. They're those posters that look so much like the actors I always assumed some kind of photo input was involved never realising this guy was the genius painter behind them. It has his artwork for poster up to the early 90's (although he still paints loads of posters and book covers, it's worth searching for his official website). The posters are presented full page, without any of the logos or print that would normally be layered on for the final poster. Even the posters for poor films or totally forgotten films still look brilliant. You will not be disappointed if you buy this. I really hope they bring out a second volume of his work up until now, maybe even his illustrations for book covers too. His poster for Hellboy was particularly cool.
