Subject: Fashion Jeans

A tribute to overalls, a type of garment developed and used as protective clothing for working men and (later) women, this edition presents items from the Harris Collection of vintage denim and workwear. Overalls are most often made of denim and usually feature riveted pockets, similar to those on jeans. Countless advertisements, posters, and actual articles of clothing from manufacturers like Levi Strauss & Co. and OshKosh B’gosh, both founded in the latter half of the 19th century, as well as lesser-known makers like Finck’s, Headlight, Carhartt, and Keystone bring the history of overalls to life. This is for the true overalls fetishist, compiled by Charla Harris and Russ V. Miller.
